Those crafty bastards....

The Crafty Bastards arts festival happened in DC this Saturday October 3rd. Honestly, most of it was vendors in tents selling T-shirts and jewelry at not-really-arts-festival prices but there are a few things worth mentioning. Like this vendor selling creepy halloween themed dolls and boxes. Very cool but one of the most expensive things there. The most interesting part was the breakdance battle going on by the DJ booth where I saw for the first time a bboy with a fake leg.

Seriously this guy was amazing; a bunch of people made a fuss about it including the DJ, but he just played it of as nothing making him even cooler. His performance made me marvel at how far our medical technology has come and how much human determinacy is really worth. I mean this guy was better then some of the two legged bboys out there. A true crafty bastard in my eyes.
Walking around the rows of tents some stuff really stood out. Like this guy's cookie cutters in the shape of fetuses. To quote him "It's like a mammogram that you can eat."

I don't think everyone enjoyed his creativity as much as he himself did, but sure enough people were buying it. Can't imagine pulling that shit out of the oven even though it would make an awesome header for a dead baby joke.
